Making websites accessible to all users, regardless of ability or disability, is now an essential part of web design and electronic applications for private organisations, commercial businesses, and government agencies alike. Part 3 of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA), which was implemented on the 1st October 2004, refers to the provision of goods, facilities and services and states that service providers must make 'reasonable adjustments' for disadvantaged web users and that the company supplying the service must not fail to take into account their needs and requirements of the service you they offering.
