Additional ftp account

Additional FTP accounts use the same FTP hostname/domain name as you have currently, but can have different passwords. The FTP server makes any necessary access restrictions, and logs you in as normal. These additional FTP Accounts can then be restricted to different directories within your site files. The additional FTP Account feature can be used in a number of different ways, for example thy can;

• Allow people to modify your Web site without giving them the master password that lets them login to the account management control panel enabling a greater level of security.
• Allow multiple employees to publish and modify files without the need to share passwords etc.
• Limit certain people, your clients or customers for example, so that they can only upload into a set restricted location and avoid the over-writting of important files.
• Can be used to allow your web developer access to maintain your site i.e. for content managment purposes, without giving them access to the account control panel.
